Do you think tragedies are going to happen on 21 dec 2012 because people will panic about end of earth?
Some people need to learn to read before answering a question. I didn’t ask “Is earth going to end” I asked something completely different.
That’s the only thing I’m scared of. Not the actual ‘end of world’ thing.

Tragedies will happen on 21 dec 2012, as they will on any other day, because life is a rich tapestry.
I’m guessing people will freak out… some people will just be scared, but some people will seriously go crazy… commit suicide or whatever. but only the extremely crazy ones.

In my opinion, I think that the “End of World” is not going to come. In relation to your answer though, I think that it is going to be just like Y2K and the other dozen “End of the World” theories. Everyone is going to get into a huge huff and nothing is going to happen. I don’t think that any tragedies are going to happen, but everyone is going to be quite jumpy. Millions of people aren’t going to go to work, and I bet a lot of shops and stores will be closed. Hope this helped!

Dont worry what will be will be. People will react and over react to what ever may be. The bible says no one knows the day nor the hour but God himself. I promise you 2012 will not be the end of the world but it will be the end of the world as we know it. Many things will change and pass away as they have in years past. The earth will suffer great loss of people and their will ultimately be some type of catastrophic occurrence but those who remain faithful and true to God will be protected as they have in the past by his grace and mercy.
I’m just worried about the people that are going to “snap” and go on killing sprees, especially since everyone around here owns some kind of rifle or another.
Outside some incidents involving cyanide I think it should be relatively uneventful like December 31, 1999. But yeah, I can understand your fear. Never underestimate the power of idiots in large numbers!

Yeah they will go nuts in 2012. But look the people can not leave the earth to save themselves. They will only have GOD. Bet you those Bibles will be snatched off the shelves then.
Some of you young people were either not around, or you were too young to remember that the world was “supposed to” end on Jan 1, 2000. Airplanes were going to fall out of the sky, cars were going to quit in the middle of the highway, computers were going to shut down.
January 1 came and went, uneventfully. No planes fell out of the sky. No autos stopped running. Computers continued doing what they are supposed to do, etc.
The same thing will happen in 2012.
If you had any knowledge of the Bible and its teachings, you would know that all these “predictions” of the world ending in 2012 are the same kind of bunk which was being circulated in December, 1999. The world did n ot end then, and it is not going to end in 2012.
I recommend you stop reading “Mayan prophecies” and all the stupid stuff being proliferated on the internet, and begin reading the Bible instead. You will get much more accurate information, such as the fact that some time soon, Jesus will return to earth, and among many other prophecies, He will rule over 1000years of peace. So, the world cannot end at least until that prophecy is fulfilled. Since Jesus has not yet returned, the world will continue to live for at least another 1000 + years.
